Original Antique Double Pocket Door Set

Produced by Lockwood. The mortise lock is dated , Pat'd AUG 10TH 1886. Although the configuration at the face of the male lock is different than the female, this was originally how they came from the factory. The lock face with the square button actually would perform two different functions, First, was to pop out the handle from inside the lock so it could be used to pull the door closed, Second, the same square piece also would have served as a way to lock the door. The other lock with only the round button popped open the handle from inside the lock. Why it was configured this way is beyond me, however this is how this lock was originally made and it functions well. The set is in very fine condition, no nicks, scratches, dents, ect. And has retained the original finish with even patina.
