Single door pocket set made by Reading Hardware Co. in the Columbian pattern, made around c.1890.
This set consists of two large door plates with a decorative mortise lock. The majarity of the pocket lock faces in this columbian pattern were plain. This is one of only a few percent that was made with intricate scrolling. Both door plates along with the lock face are made of heavy cast bronze . The lock face also has a spring loaded pop out handle that works like new. This is an exceptional set retaining original finish..
